ABOUT

Shirts and Destroy Print Shop is just one person—me, John.
I fell in love with t-shirts from going to all-ages, DIY punk shows as a teenager, and I bought more band shirts than I knew what to do with. That love has only gotten stronger, and my dresser drawers have only gotten fuller.
During my senior year of high school at Oshkosh West, I was introduced to the world of screen printing in my graphic arts class, and spent many lunch hours and study halls printing shirts and hoodies for myself. It was during that senior year that I decided I wanted to continue with screen printing, and the idea of having my own shop first seeped into my thoughts.
After high school, I got a job at a screen printing shop and entered the Graphic Design program at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, so I could handle both the printing and design side of things myself.
Once I graduated from UWO, I opened and co-owned a screen printing shop in 2008. Even though the shop was doing incredibly well, certain things weren’t working for me, and over time, it became apparent that a drastic change was needed. At the end of 2010, I sold my share to my business partner and left the world of screen printing after almost ten years.
Upon leaving the shop, I pursued another passion of mine: filmmaking. I spent the next fourteen years making feature and short films, having my collective work shown all over the world in film festivals and released far and wide.
In 2025, I decided to officially return to screen printing and opened Shirts and Destroy Print Shop, because, after all—as a real wise man wrote—ka is a wheel. With Shirts and Destroy, I not only wanted to get back to a medium I love, but to offer excellent printing and rad design, and to be engaged with my community and give back to it where I can.
As I said in the beginning, Shirts and Destroy Print Shop is me. From the printing to the processing to the design to answering emails and calls to packing up orders to everything related to the shop, it’s just me. This shop is an extension of me. I represent the shop, and the shop represents me. I want everyone who places an order with me to know I’m giving you my all and to be completely satisfied with what you receive, because I care.
I also want to meet your dogs, so please bring them in to say hi.
